How to Boot From a CD or USB Drive on Any PC

Occasionally, if you're troubleshooting your PC or installing a new operating system, you'll have to "boot it from a disc" or USB flash drive. Here's what that means, and how to do it.

When you press the power button on your computer, it boots up from its internal hard drive, where your operating system (usually Windows, OS X, or Linux) is stored. But sometimes, you need to boot into something different. Maybe you need to boot from your Windows installation disc to reinstall Windows, or perhaps you need to boot from a system rescue disc to solve a problem with your machine. When you're told to boot from a CD or USB drive, here's what you need to do.

On a Windows PC

Every Windows PC is different, but once you get into your system's boot menu you should be able to find what you're looking for. To boot from a CD or USB drive:
Restart your computer and wait for that first screen to pop up. Often, it'll say something like "Press F12 to Choose Boot Device" somewhere on the screen. Press that key now.
Give it a moment to continue booting, and you should see a menu pop up with a list of choices on it. Highlight your CD or USB drive and press Enter.

Alternatively, you can set your computer to always check for a bootable CD or USB drive. That way, when you have one inserted, it'll boot from it automatically, and when you don't, it'll head into your regular operating system. To set this up, follow these instructions:

Restart your computer and watch for the first screen that shows up when you boot. You should see something that says "Press DEL to enter setup," or something similar. Press the noted key on your keyboard and wait for setup to start.

You should see a new screen pop up, called your BIOS. This is where you set a lot of low-level settings for your computer. Look through the options (being careful not to change anything) for a setting called "Boot Device," "Boot Order," or something similar. Select that option.
From the menu that pops up, choose your computer's disc drive and press Enter. If you're trying to boot from a USB drive, choose USB-HDD instead and press Enter. Depending on your BIOS, you may need to use the Page Up and Page Down keys to move your selection to the top of a list, instead.
Exit out of your BIOS, saving your changes. Usually, this option is under "Exit" on the main menu, or available via a keyboard shortcut listed somewhere on your screen.
Your computer should reboot. Make sure your CD or USB drive is in your computer. If you're prompted to "Press any key to boot from CD/DVD," do so. Your computer should boot into the CD or USB drive instead of your normal operating system.

Requirements:
*pc/loptop
*dc unlocker
*dccrap

1. Download dc-unlocker_client-1.00.1045.exe then install it.

2. Download ZTE Unlocker [DCCrap] [see attachment], after download, extract and copy files to: C:\Programs Files\DC-Unlocker

3. Insert Globe / Sun sim to modem, open your modem (It will detect it as Sim Lock).

4. On your desktop, look for DC-Unlocker Client icon, Right click then Run as Administrator, DC-Unlocker will open.

5. Select manufacturer: ZTE Modems; Select model: Auto detect; Click Magnifying glass, wait for it to detect your modem

6. Right click My Computer > Properties > Device Manager > Click Ports (COM & LPT), you will see that drivers are installing (do not close the window)

7. After detecting modem’s driver, you will see ZTE Diagnostics Interface (COM#) & ZTE NMEA Device (COM#). Be sure to write it down the COM#

8. Go to DC-Unlocker 2 Client again then click Magnifying glass, you will see this:

Your modem is detected

9. Close DC-Unlocker 2 Client, Run DCCrap as Administrator; Select manufacturer: ZTE datacards, Select model: Auto detect, Click Magnifying glass this will detect your modem

10. Then go to Unlocking tab, click Unlock

11. Wait till you see a message that modem is Unlocked. See pic:

12. Your modem will restart and search for the Network signal for the sim you inserted (Globe / Sun).

20. Go to Settings > Network Settings > APN

21. At the upper part portion of your Browser, click CSS tab > Disable Styles > Disable All Styles

22. Click Cancel > Set Mode to Auto > click Set as Default > at the lower part click Yes

23. Press F5 or refresh your Firefox browser then log-out

24. After Setting APN to Automatic; Run DC-Unlocker 2 client as Administrator; Select manufacturer: ZTE modems, Select model: Auto detect, click Magnifying glass kapag na detect na yung model go to Unlocking tab, click Disable Diagnostic Port may pop-up message na mag-appear just click OK.

25. Restart your Modem, insert any sim at Connected na ang Status nya. Auto detect na din ang APN nya kapag nag-insert ka ng ibang sim.

Note: doon po sa mga hindi nadedetect ang modem,kailangan po idownload ang compatible drivers para sa inyong modem.

Ako po kinailangan ko pang idownload drivers ng modem ko kasi, "modem not found po ang sakin. So hanapin nyo po ang nararapat na driver..ito pong sinasabi ko ay doon lng sa mga hindi nadedetect ang modem

Check Disk (chkdsk.exe) is a utility that looks for errors on a hard drive, floppy drive or removable drives. It originated with MS DOS 1.0, and has remained as a command line utility in all MS DOS and Windows versions.

In Windows 95, 98 and ME, Microsoft included Scan Disk, which performed similar functions to Check Disk, but also included a surface scan test. Under Windows NT, 2000, 2003, XP and Vista, a revised version of Check Disk is included that has the ability to check the disk surface for bad sectors, look for lost clusters, cross-linked files, and directory errors.

If your computer tells you that it needs to run Check Disk or you receive frequent Blue Screen Data_Kernel_Inpage_Errors, then you definitely need to act. These errors are usually caused by a hard shut down or a power loss during a read-right operation on that particular drive.

As Check Disk scans your hard, floppy or removable drive, it verifies the integrity of file and folder structures. Sometimes, it can even recover the corrupt data. When you experience a hard drive failure, it is not always the entire hard drive. Often, it may be just certain sectors and in this case, the Operating System should not write to those sectors. Check Disk can be used to scan those sectors and fix them when possible.

To run Check Disk, you will need to:

Open My Computer
Right click on your hard disk (ie: C drive)
Choose properties
Click on the tools tab
Under error checking, click "check now"
Check "automatically fix file system errors" or "scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors" and let the scan run. This can take quite awhile, depending on the size of your hard drive.

Check Disk may also be ran from system tools or the command prompt in which numerous switches are available. Type chkdsk /? To see a full list of commands with information on each.

The advantages of running Check Disk are innumerable if you are experiencing a disk issue as indicated by the system event logs, blue screen errors or an operating system notification. Otherwise, there is no reason to run this utility.

SOLVED!

After 3 hours of troubleshooting, I have found the solution to this problem!

It is caused by a corrupt or damaged boot option in the MBR.

It is especially common on hard drives that contain multiple partitions (ie. almost all OEM installs).

Sometimes the MBR just becomes damaged, other times a boot virus is the cause.

In any case, heres what fixes it:

Boot into recovery manager via a Win7 DVD or via the built in system repair option.

If you use the Win7DVD, click next and then choose the option to Repair your computer.

If you use the built in system repair option, cancel any automatic repairs that may start.

Choose the advanced recovery options, and then choose the command prompt.

Enter the following command: bcdedit /enum

This is the tricky part. Your boot manager may be different depending on the OEM or installer.

Identify all the installation references. There should be more than one. Mine had 2.

One of these is a valid record, the other is corrupt/invalid. We need to delete the invalid record and then rewrite it.

My 2 records were {bootmgr} and {default}

I'm not sure about this, but I believe it will always be the {default} record that is corrupt. (It was for me)

So, let's assume I'm correct and the {bootmgr} record is always generic and the {default} value tends to be corrupted.

Enter the following command: bcdedit /delete {default}

The command should complete successfully.

Now that we've deleted the corrupted record, we need to allow windows to identify and rebuild the correct one.

Enter the following command: bootrec.exe /scanos

Windows should scan for any Windows installations on all drives, and it should indentify at least 1.

Choose y to add it to the boot manager.

The command should complete successfully.

Now lets clean up and make sure Windows has some defualt boot settings.

Enter the following command: bootrec.exe /fixboot

The command should complete successfully.

Enter the following command: bootrec.exe /fixmbr

The command should complete successfully.

Restart. Done! Let me know if it worked for you!

and as the resultant, it will give increase the
melody sound!, your tones will more louder,
even more louder then the max. ringing volume.
